- Contractor licence: Allows a plumbing contractor to contract and advertise for the classes of work listed, subject to any conditions. Whether an individual may personally perform or supervise that work depends on the authorities recorded on the licence.
- Qualified supervisor certificate: Allows the holder to perform and supervise the specified work, but not to contract for it independently.
- Tradesperson certificate: Allows the holder to perform the specified work under required supervision, but not to supervise others or contract directly with customers.
