These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fixed Today website (https://fixedtoday.com.au) and the plumbing services we provide. The website and our services are operated by Platinum Hot Water and Plumbing Pty Limited (ABN 49 147 237 741), trading as Fixed Today (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using this website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or engage our services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always appear on this page, and continued use of the website after any change means you accept the updated Terms.
About us
Fixed Today is a licensed Sydney plumbing business. We hold New South Wales plumbing licence number 305428C and carry ten million dollars in public liability insurance. All plumbing work is carried out by licensed plumbers in accordance with the relevant Australian standards and NSW regulations.
Our services
We provide residential and commercial plumbing services across greater Sydney, including emergency plumbing, blocked drains, hot water, gas fitting, leak detection and general plumbing. Availability, arrival times and any estimated response windows shown on this website are indicative only and depend on demand, location and the nature of the job. We will always give you a realistic timeframe when you book.
Quotes, pricing and payment
- We provide an upfront, fixed price for the agreed scope of work before that work begins. You are not charged a call-out fee for us to attend and quote unless we have told you otherwise in advance.
- A quote covers only the work described in it. If we discover additional problems once work is underway (for example, a hidden pipe fault), we will stop, explain the issue, and provide a separate price for you to approve before continuing.
- Prices include GST unless stated otherwise. Any discounts, offers or coupons are subject to their own conditions and cannot be combined unless we say so.
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed different terms in writing. For approved commercial or account customers, invoices are payable within the agreed period.
Bookings, access and cancellations
When you make a booking, you agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, along with accurate information about the property and the problem. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time, or the job is materially different from what was described, we may need to reschedule or re-quote. If you need to change or cancel a booking, please let us know as early as you can so we can offer the slot to another customer.
Workmanship guarantee
We back our workmanship. Where our labour on a completed job fails due to our workmanship, we will return and put it right in line with the guarantee that applies to that job. This guarantee covers our workmanship and does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, third-party interference, pre-existing faults outside the agreed scope, or manufacturer defects in supplied products (which are covered by the relevant manufacturer’s warranty).
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for loss or damage that is not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, or that arises from circumstances outside our reasonable control, from your failure to provide accurate information or safe access, or from work carried out by others. The information on this website is provided in good faith and for general guidance only; it is not a substitute for professional advice on your specific plumbing situation.
