How runoff affects foundations

What to do if water is pooling near foundations

- damaged, disconnected or overflowing downpipes
- outlets discharging close to the building.
Do not climb onto the roof, excavate around footings or open concealed stormwater services. If safe, reduce immediate ponding without directing water across paths, onto neighbouring property or towards another part of the building.
