State who performs each check, reviews defects, approves corrective work and engages an appropriately licensed contractor. Allocate plumbing, drainage and backflow work according to current NSW licensing and authority requirements.
Keep dated plumbing maintenance records identifying the asset, findings, action taken, contractor details and outstanding recommendations. Add photographs where useful and escalate urgent defects to a named decision-maker.
Emergency information should include:
- principal and local isolation-valve locations
- responsible facility contacts and contractor details
- after-hours access instructions
- escalation steps for major leaks, sewer overflows and loss of essential services
- relevant utility and emergency contacts.
